Happy 100th Birthday to the Gipper!

Why do conservatives constantly reference Ronald Reagan? I have wondered if leftists view the right’s fascination with Reagan the same way I view their Obama-love: unfounded, obsessive and even cult-like. However, there is no comparison. Conservatives understand, and history has proven, just how important the Reagan era was to the peace and prosperity of our country. While America had been heading in the wrong direction for decades, Reagan’s policies concerning our economy, foreign defense, reducing the size of government while strengthening individual liberties, helped to get us back on track. Time has shown that our admiration for Reagan is founded and justified – just as time will eventually show just how destructive and downright subversive Obama’s liberal policies are. Reagan knew that “Man is not free unless government is limited”. He also understood “If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”
